Governance Systems Setup & Consultation
For Resident-Led Community BoardsA phased governance systems engagement designed to help shared ownership boards implement, adopt, and either transition or continue administrative systems in a structured and intentional way through technology.
This service is delivered in defined phases, and boards must agree to the phased approach at onboarding to ensure successful implementation and knowledge transfer.
Recommended technology tools and software subscriptions are billed separately by third-party providers and are not included in monthly service fees.
How the Phased Engagement Works
Phase 1: System Assessment & Setup (1 -2 months)
Focused on building the foundational systems needed for effective governance operations.
Includes:
Assessment of board culture, capacity, and communication practices
Advisory support to recommend systems aligned with the community
Setup and configuration of governance systems
Installation and customization of shared ownership governance templates
Phase 2: System Management, Training & Knowledge Transfer (1-2 months)
Focused on active use, training, and preparing the board for long-term ownership.
Includes:
Active management of systems during real-world use
Board training on system use and administrative workflows
Reinforcement of consistent practices and documentation
Knowledge transfer to support board management transition and continuity
Transition or Ongoing Management
At the conclusion of Phase 2, boards may:
Transition systems fully in-house, or
Continue with ongoing governance systems management as a monthly service
Engagement Terms
Priced monthly with a three-month minimum commitment
Phasing and transition expectations are defined in the service agreement and require board approval at onboarding as part of the governance systems engagement.
Scope is limited to systems and administrative workflows implemented by DW Admin Solutions
Why This Approach Works
Ensures systems are not only set up, but properly adopted
Reduces confusion and reliance on individual board members
Supports continuity during board turnover
Prevents stalled or incomplete implementations
Important Note: This service is administrative and advisory in nature and does not include legal, fiduciary, or property management services.
